Modern Cargo ships would normally have around 20 officers and crew with
accommodation for 12 passengers. (Maritime Law states that over 12
passengers a Doctor must be carried). Your passage fare would normally
include all meals (normally taken in the officers wardroom) and all Port taxes
unless stated. Your only extras would be Drinks and incidental expenses and
gratuities for your steward which unlike Cruise ships is purely a personal matter
based on your satisfaction
